December – end of year 2012, I spent the Friday night for sightseeing the Surabaya city at night, the second largest city in Indonesia. It was 2 days before 1st of January, I grabbed my camera and went to the fisherman village for taking the Suramadu bridge picture located on Java strait. The beach was very crowded that night, most people spent the time to have dinner with their spouse & family. Most of the people were preparing the new year eve celebration.
The stars were bright that night, the air is so warm and I thought it was a cheerful and colorful night, until I saw a little girl with her father went fishing. They look so hungry like nothing to eat. The old man just prepared his fishing kit while his daughter followed him and standing behind, hoping that little fish take the bait. While most of the people that night laughing, sharing the happiness, those two people just silent in the crowd, enjoying the night just hoping that night they could have a nice dinner with a grilled fish.

This post is dedicated to my father and Sara Roso for the Weekly Photo Challenge
A dad is someone who
wants to catch you before you fall
but instead picks you up,
brushes you off,
and lets you try again.
*-*
A dad is someone who
wants to keep you from making mistakes
but instead lets you find your own way,
even though his heart breaks in silence
when you get hurt.
*-*
A dad is someone who
holds you when you cry,
scolds you when you break the rules,
shines with pride when you succeed,
and has faith in you even when you fail…
